Our ballroom is pretty big. It’s 5,000 plus square foot with 30-foot ceilings and it’s all wide-open space (meaning no columns or any other kind of impediments in the room. With that being said, we can host a large event maxing out the ballroom (with a good-sized dancing area) with 20-21 tables with a guest count max of 200-210.
But Covid fears are still alive and well today. It’s been over a year since we maxed out our space in the ballroom for a wedding or special event. Even though we are positive those times are going to come back and we will see many events that take advantage of all of our amazing space, we may still be in for a longer ride than anticipated before we get there again.
Couples planning their big day absolutely want large rooms FULL of family and friends! But with guests uncertainty, and just plain fear with ever changing Covid infection rates, the RSVP counts are still coming in lower than the happy couple would expect.
The good news is we are seeing 100% of our couples having the time of their life even with fewer people. And the better news is that we are seeing counts inching back up to a few more guests, on average, then what we saw even a month ago. And we hope to see that continue.
So… are lower counts here to stay? All the trends point to “no”! But what we have learned is that increased “regrets” does not affect the good time had by anyone in attendance. The larger events will come back for sure. But for now, we KNOW that our clients will enjoy saving a few bucks and also the extra elbow room that goes along with it!
We'd love to hear what you think
