First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a honeymoon! I think it’s safe to say that many people underestimate the time and effort it takes to plan a wedding. After months of sorting out every little detail to make sure your day is as memorable as can be, I think a couple definitely deserves time to de-stress and celebrate each other. So, let’s talk honeymoons!
There are so many things to consider when planning your perfect getaway with your S.O.! Do you want to go somewhere where all you have to think about is soaking up the sun, or somewhere that’ll make everyone jealous of your Instagram feed, or somewhere touristy? The options are endless.
We were lucky enough to talk to one of our good friends, Kim Goldstein, with Journeys Inc. and she shared so much information with us regarding the most popular honeymoon destination, precautions to take before your vacation and more.
A few of the more sought out destinations are places like Hawaii and Tahiti. Greece falls in that category as well as a popular place for all of the Instagramable pictures you could imagine! Although those places are beautiful, they can be a little pricier. Some more budget friendly places are Mexico, Jamaica and St. Lucia.
One VERY important thing to remember, that is essential if you’re leaving the U.S. is to make sure you have a passport. It can take six to eight weeks to get your passport, so definitely give yourself enough time to get one! If you already have one, it’s recommended to make sure it’s not expired and that it’s valid at least six months after your return date.
Honeymoons are a huge step in a relationship, so really take the time to decide on what place you as a couple will enjoy the most! If you need help planning, definitely contact travel agent. Not only will you have a perfectly planned out vacation, you’ll also have someone to contact at your convenience if you have any questions or concerns.
We can’t thank Kim enough for telling us all we need to know about honeymoons. Make sure to check out our most recent YouTube video with her! Until next time, happy planning! After all, you definitely deserve to not only treat yourself, but to celebrate the love between you and your partner!
