• We can not believe it is already November! We love having winter weddings here in our ballroom so we wanted to share a few winter wedding trends that are must if you are saying ‘I Do’ in December, January and February.

    Greenery

With the Pantone Color of the year for 2017 being greenery, it was such a hit in the floral world and we will see it continue into 2018. Winter is the perfect time to use greenery with pine, cedar, eucalyptus, balsam and juniper in season. You can swag it across the back of your ceremony chairs or use them in your centerpieces for a full and festive look.

    Glitz and Glamour

Sparkle and winter go hand in hand. So adding a little bit throughout your wedding is a must. We suggest adding silver, gold or rose gold to your wedding color palette for a touch of sheen. From sequin linens or bridesmaid dresses, there are so many options that add a touch of glamour.

    Light Bright

Candles and twinkle lights add the perfect soft, warm, inviting glow that we love this time of year. Dim the lights at your ceremony or reception and add a mix of candles in different heights and shapes in glass cylinders. We love using battery operated candles to give off the effect of a candle without the risk of an open flame.

    Faux Fur

Brides and bridesmaids can get a little chilly taking photos outside during this time of year. So why not add a faux fur wrap to keep you warm? It serves a dual purpose, keeping you warm and it is a cute accessory for photos.

We can’t wait to see all of the winter weddings coming up in the next few months!

Tommy and Jon, owners of The Renaissance and the rest of their amazing team, love sharing a piece of Richmond history with guests and couples alike.
