• When planning your wedding, there are so many surprises and delights in the mix to make your day even more special and memorable. Many of these things are often times looked over or forgotten because they’re so small, but sometimes the smallest details can have the biggest impacts. One really fun thing to consider are signature cocktails!

Here at The Renaissance, signature cocktails are one of our favorite things to talk about when discussing bar plans. There is so much room for creativity and uniqueness when coming up with your own signature drink. We’ve narrowed down three main things to think about when deciding what yours could be!

    Taste

Think about what your drink of choice is, whether that’s beer, wine, liquor, and then dive into the specifics. What kind of beer? Red or white wine? Merlot or Pinot Noir? What kind of liquor? Start with the basics. There’s nothing wrong with keeping it simple when choosing a signature drink. If a certain IPA, a glass of Chardonnay or a Vodka Cranberry is your favorite drink of all time, you can most definitely have that. If you want something a bit fancier though, don’t shy away from adding any sort of sodas, juices, or fruits to your drink!

Passions, Favorite Things, Hobbies & Loves

Incorporating any of these things into your signature drink leaves so much room for creativity. These can be things such as naming your drink after your pet (how cute!), honoring your favorite sports team with the name or color of your drink, if you have a favorite singer/band you can name it after a song by them, and so much more.

    Color

When people think of color, they typically think of their color theme. You do not have to sync the color or theme of your signature cocktail with your color scheme! However if you want your colors to all be consistent, there are easy ways to color your drink to be almost any color you want. This can be done by using food coloring, fruit juices, sodas or muddled fruit!
